A small boat approaches the pier at Baan Nam Kem, Thailand. 7/12/2007 .Baan Nam Kem, is a busy Thai fishing village in Phang Nga province, Thailand. For the mix of Thai and Burmese workers living here, the sea is the provider. Three years ago the sea was also the destroyer. An estimated 4000 people (half the population)  died in this village when the Andaman earthquake sent tidal waves up to 7 meters crashing to shore. SInce then with help from governmental and non governmental organisations in rebuilding homes and livelihoods the village is back doing what it has all ways done - fishing.
